Moving forward

As the years pass, the man always trying to make improvements or advance technology. Trying to improve the lives and seeking new ways to update what we use.

For example in the medicine, the medics and scientific try to search for ways to improve the quality of life with organ transplants and using artificial organs also for people who lose an arm or leg to replace it with an artificial one having the same functions and anterior movement. The Scientifics try to do a genetic engineering breakthrough. Diseases are always new viruses, bacteria, and fungi appear. Man always tries to move forward and improve with medicines to detain these evils.

Computers also have progressed for example computers now exists where one can talk to them, also those that are tactile and transparent. At another point, there are already flying cars and robots with great intelligence that can speak, walk and understand.

I think the advancement of technology in all fields is very good because it improves our lives and new discoveries are made

Unit 3

Stories

The stories are imaginary narratives about any event that does not exist in this world.

There are millions of stories around the world from science fiction, adventure, legends, myths, and comics. Since ancient times they made the stories through paintings; as time passed more and had more story books writers. As were transmitted by television and the movies became famous.

Children's stories are fables including books, fairytales, princesses and super heroes. I think Disney has been one of the largest industries in transmitting stories for children because it makes flying with imagination. And the many films he has done are what make famous Disney.

Books like harry potter or lord of the rings are books that came to television and have a fantastic content on their stories. I think this attracts many people know about fanciful stories that may not be possible in this world.

In another point, in Costa Rica for example in the villages there own stories as legends or myths that the time can be scary as La Llorona, The Cadejo or Cegua. These stories are passed from generation to generation and usually occur in field locations.

Everyone have special and favorites stories for example I like the books as Frankenstein, Trojan , princess  stories or super heroes. The fantasy and adventure movies I really like. In a moment in the life we had to write an stories, I think that this is so good because we let our imagination fly and can become more creative. Greatest writers become so famous for their stories fanciful.

Unit 2

Places and communities

Worldwide there are beautiful destinations to visit both places and communities in each country.  In America for example in United states New York it's one of the cities most visiting, for the amount of business, parks, buildings and the most famous monuments its the liberty statue.

Elsewhere there are unusual cities like China where the culture is very different, but it is one of the most developed countries in the world therefore has great technology and amazing historical sites such as the Chinese wall. Another city amazing I think that is Tokyo in japan, this country has museums of art, history, science and technology.  Another impressive city is Sidney in Australia besides being one of the most visited has a large infrastructure buildings, museums and large-scale bridges.

But, the most visited cities in the world are Paris and London. In England London has lots of visits by the amount of cathedrals, museums, infrastructures such as the London eye or Palace of Westminster. In France Paris is called the City of Light and Love; contains lots of impressive cathedrals like Notre Dame du Paris, museums such as the Louvre Museum and in the infrastructure like the glass pyramid or the most visited is the Tour Eiffel.

I think that travel around the world can be a great experience because we can know the different cities, cultures and people. I think that everyone in one moment dreams in meet many places, I think that never too late to do and have a great experience.

Unit 1

Achieving goals

All the people need to have goals for have an objective in the future, besides for strive day to day and reach the goal we set. It's very important have goals in the life because you can be a better person. Only we need to have the objective and have a positive mind, with the right attitude will be easier and do all the possible for to reach the goals.

Another important point is set achievable goals. We need to have goals that are part of reality. Also it's important to face challenges, do not be afraid; it's necessary take the risks in the way for to achieve the goals. Usually, when we have goals sometimes we feel that the challenge it’s very difficult, sometimes we will feel that we will not achieve, but it is important to never give up.

  About me I have a big goals, for example my first goal is graduate to dentistry, have a job and earn money, also go abroad to get a specialty and have a big house. Travel in many places in all the world it’s one of mi goals for example Paris or Italy. And, of course marry and have children think is what everyone wants.

Profile

My name is María José Toruño, I study dentistry where course my third year of career. I really like my career because I like to use the different instruments and materials and I can help people maintain good oral hygiene.

 I am an active person; I like to be in constant movement and do exercises besides practicing sports such as football. In my hobbies I like watch movies and go to the cinema with my friends.
